What is the Gala?
A fun night out for the adults in Our Village! Current, future & alumni families come together to celebrate with teachers & staff. There will be food, drinks, and dancing, plus a silent & live auction featuring unique gifts, experiences and keepsake art made by OVP students.
Last school year, OVPA hosted our first ever Spring Gala & Auction and raised over $32,000 for our beloved school - major progress toward the Big Yard Renovation goal! We're keeping the momentum and tradition going with another Spring Gala this year.Join a Gala Committee
Help plan OVP's biggest night of the year - find a role that's right for you.
Auction Subcommittee (3+ volunteers): solicit & collect auction item donations; manage & track status and delivery; upload items to the online platform; transport & set up items at the venue; coordinate distribution to winners.Party Subcommittee (2+ volunteers): theme & decor; student keepsakes; catering, bar & treats; day-of timeline & run of show; slideshow and entertainment.Comms Subcommittee (1+ volunteers): design flyers & invitations; plan & share promotional social posts & emails.Smaller volunteer opportunities: coordinate class art project auction items with teachers; auction basket assembly; day-of set up & take down; solicit auction item donations; misc. errands.Why Volunteer?
It's a fun & fulfilling way to get involved in the OVP community - and a chance to make close, lasting connections with fellow families. Last year the committee brought parents together across classrooms, and this year we're hoping to welcome even more volunteers into the mix.
